Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Clear Duty collects, why we collect it and what we do with it. Your information is collected by Clear Duty, a business name registered to Richard Farmilo, ABN 80 650 936 256. Contact: [email protected]. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Clear Duty.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The free psychosocial risk check

The check asks only multiple-choice questions. It has no free-text boxes, and it never asks for workers' names or anyone's health information.

You can answer the questions and see your result without giving us anything. We store your answers only if you ask us to email you the full report. We then store:

We do not store your IP address.

Launch lists

You can sign up to hear when the pack launches, or, if most of your workers are outside NSW, when your state is ready. We then store:

Signing up means we send you one email, when the pack launches or when your state is ready. We send you nothing else unless you tick the separate box for updates.

Buying the pack

If you buy the pack, Stripe handles the payment on its own checkout page. Stripe collects your card details. We never see or store your card number. You can choose to give a business name and ABN at checkout, for your receipt. Stripe holds those details and sends your receipt.

We then store an order record:

Anonymous page and step counts

We count how many times some pages and steps are used each day: the free check started and finished, the full report asked for, the pack page viewed, the buy button pressed and the launch list joined. We keep only a total for each day. The counts hold no IP address, no cookie and nothing that identifies you or your device, so they cannot be linked to you. We use them to see which parts of the site work.

Unsubscribing

Every report email and our launch email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. When you unsubscribe, we keep a one-way hash of your email address and the date. A hash is a scrambled code made from the address. We check it before we send any report or launch email, so we do not email you again, and we delete your email from every launch list. Someone who already knows your address could work out the same code, so we protect it like the rest of your information.

Why we collect it

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers named below, so they can do these things for us.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored with Cloudflare, which hosts this website and its database. These service providers store or process it, in these places:

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

Email us at [email protected] to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will delete it within 30 days of your request. The only exception is a record of a purchase that the law requires us to keep.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle your information, email us at [email protected]. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
